Glitter Removal and Bare Nails

So, I removed Starry Silver Glitter using Colette's of My Simple Little Pleasures method. She soaks cotton with remover and places the wet cotton on the nail for 3-4 minutes, more or less depending on the polish's finish. After a few minutes, all you have to do is shimmy the cotton away from your cuticle firmly, to pick up any old slimy leftover polish lol.

And voile! Nice clean nails. After removal and a light file of nails who needed it, I used hand lotion (Queen Helene Cocoa Butter Hand and Body Lotion) to smooth around my cuticles and into my nails. I lightly pushed back my cuticles. Then I thoroughly washed away the lotion and dried my hands. Then I massaged Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Oil (my favorite!)  into my nail bed and cuticles and let it absorb before I added Sally Hansen Hard as Nails in Clear.

The nail length shown seems to be my terminal length! I can never seem to surpass this length before my nails start to peel, then I have to file them, then they are thin, then they are more prone to breaking, which they always do! Its a vicious cycle I need to resolve. Im going to try to revamp my nail care regimen, which will include:
  1. drinking more water
  2. increasing my Biotin intake from 1000 mg (my current intake) to at least 3000 mg (but gradually so I can keep an eye out for any adverse side effects such as acne breakouts)
  3. using a glass file instead of cheap, harsh emory boards
  4. trying Qtica Natural Nail Growth Stimulator and following the directions to the tee for best results
  5. keeping my nails polished for extra protection
  6. using gloves during household cleaning
  7. NOT using my nails as a tool (such as opening cans, scratching sticky price tags off things, ect, ect)
  8. always using base and top coats
  9. NOT being lazy period and slack off on any of the above :-)
We shall see how this turns out!
